Natalie & Trevor – New York, New York

Like a good mug for coffee or a leather chair that you can just fall into, sometimes things just feel right…comfortable.  This was my experience with Natalie andn Trevor in New York City.  From the second I met them in a Starbucks on the upper east side, the conversation was easy and I immediately felt like I was hanging out with old friends.  Before we get to the photos…and since I am a romantic at heart, I wanted to tell the story about the steps they are sitting on in the 5th set of photos below.  Those steps are where Natalie and Trevor got engaged!

Natalie’s dad  used to tell her…”Natalie, you are the Love of my life, the Light in my dreams, the Reason for my smile.”  That phrase stuck with Natalie and why wouldn’t something so special make a huge impact.  So with permission from her father, Trevor borrowed the phrase and wrote it with Chalk on the steps of their apartment building.  Natalie came out of the building and read…

“Love of my life,

Light in my dreams,

Reason for my smile.”

then turned to find Trevor with the ring in his hand.  Trevor…you are the man and I know that you absolutely adore Natalie.  A week after the proposal, after a rain storm had washed the words away from the steps, one word remained…”LIFE”  And isn’t that what we are all after in our relationships?  Beautiful.

  1. Great post! I have too many favorites to name but my top two are the ones on the steps because they tell such a unique story and the ones of them buying flowers at the market. And I LOVED how you told their story! Such a sweet story already, but the way you wrote it was amazing. :)

  2. That first BW is RIDICULOUS! Love them James!

Congratulations you two. Those are great pictures and, as Groucho Marx used to say before you were born, you are a lovely couple.
Thanks for sharing and have a geat life together
